Discover how local farmers and communities are leading the way in bottom-up economic development while combating climate change through regenerative farming practices. Following the screening, Florence Reed, Founder of Sustainable Harvest International, will share her insights in a moderated Q&A session, diving deeper into the impact of grassroots agricultural initiatives.

    About the Speaker


    Florence (Flo) Reed is the founder of Sustainable Harvest International (SHI) and a leading advocate for regenerative agriculture and bottom-up economic development. With a background in nonprofit work and service as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Panama, she established SHI in 1997 to help farmers adopt sustainable practices that improve livelihoods while restoring the environment.

    As SHI’s chief visionary, Florence spearheads the Million Farm Transformation, a global initiative to scale up regenerative farming solutions. Her passion for sustainable development continues to inspire farmers, organizations, and communities worldwide. When she’s not traveling to advance SHI’s mission, Florence resides with her family in an eco-friendly home on 30 acres of gardens and forest in Surry, Maine.
