Join the World Affairs Council of New Hampshire in this series of Presidential candidate forums to explore the foreign policy positions of each. As commander-in-chief and the leading voice of the country to the world, the President has the most leeway for action in the global space. It is vital that voters know and understand how the candidates think about the world and America's role in it. Take the time to learn and question the thinking of each candidate. As the people of New Hampshire well know, vetting candidates is a critical step in the election process.
(Please note: This event is part of a series of foreign policy discussions with the candidates in the Presidential Primary. WACNH is making every effort to contact all of the candidates and campaigns for both Republicans and Democrats. The hosting of any one candidates does not constitute an endorsement by the Council, its staff, board, members, or sponsors. These events are provided for informational purposes only.)

Chase Oliver is a 38-year-old Libertarian activist living in Atlanta. Dubbed “…the most influential
Libertarian in America…” by Rolling Stone, Oliver is a champion of the rights of the individual against the growing power of the state.
Oliver began his political activism opposing the War in Iraq under then-President George W. Bush, and he discovered the Libertarian Party when he stopped by a booth at the Atlanta Pride Festival in 2010.
In 2020, he ran for Congress in Georgia’s 5th district to complete the term of the late civil rights icon John Lewis. In 2022, he ran for U.S. Senate, debating incumbent Sen. Raphael Warnock and Herschel Walker’s empty podium. Oliver was widely credited with causing the runoff election between Warnock and Walker.
Oliver advocates the adoption of Ranked Choice Voting to avoid future runoffs. Riding the success of his senate campaign, Oliver announced his presidential exploratory committee in December 2022. Since then, he has been traveling across the country to connect with voters and other libertarians.
Chase Oliver has appeared on PBS, CNN, Fox Business, CSPAN, WSB TV and Radio, Fox 5, 11 Alive News, Vice Media, Reason TV. He has been featured in the The New York Times, The Washington Post, Bloomberg, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Guardian, and Rolling Stone.
