U.S. National Security Interests in the Middle East

The World Affairs Council of New Hampshire was honored to host an interview with Vice Admiral John W. Miller, U.S. Navy (ret.), about the key U.S. National Security interests in the Middle East. Through discussions on issues like the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, the withdrawal from Afghanistan, freedom of navigation through the Suez Canal, and access to stable sources of oil and gas, Executive Director, Tim Horgan, and Vice Admiral Miller dive into why these issues matter today. They also talk about the geopolitical issues leading the unending attention that the Middle East requires, despite many U.S. Administration's interests in focusing key resources elsewhere.

Thank you to the US Global Leadership Coalition to connect us with Vice Admiral Miller and making this conversation possible. Also, thank you to Education for All Children for making their office space available to record this discussion.

This interview was recorded on Thursday, March 21, 2024.
