"New Security Challenges" with 

Professor Kelly M. Greenhill

Kelly M. Greenhill is an expert on International Relations and Security Studies. She is currently a research fellow at Belfer Center's International Security Program as well as an Associate Professor at Tufts University. Her research targets "new security challenges," including civil wars; the use of forced migration as a weapon; intervention and (counter-) insurgency; and international crime as a challenge to domestic governance.

Kelly M. Greenhill holds a Ph.D. and an S.M. from M.I.T., a C.S.S. from Harvard University, and a B.A. in Political Economy and Scandinavian Studies from the University of California at Berkeley. Professor Greenhill is author of Weapons of Mass Migration: Forced Displacement, Coercion and Foreign Policy which is recipient of the 2011 International Studies Association's Best Book of the Year Award.
