Alan joined WACNH in October 2021 as the events and education coordinator. He brings a strong background to this role, having received his Ph.D. from Georgetown University and having taught international relations at Villanova University and the College of William and Mary. Alan also has applied experience in foreign policy, having worked in Washington, DC, as a staff associate to the Congressional subcommittees that fund the Defense and State Departments. More recently, he has worked with startups and entrepreneurs as a writer and business strategist for a boutique public relations company in the Greater Boston area. He has travelled extensively abroad and is a certified pilgrim, having walked most of the Camino de Santiago in northern Spain.
