ABOUT CHARLES G. BICKFORD
Dr. Charles Bicford lectured at the Myanmar Institute of Technology in fall 2010 as part of the theological school’s religious studies, theology and divinity programs and taught as a Professor of Literature at the Royal University of Phnom Penh, Cambodia from 2001 to 2003 and 2005 to 2006.
He has served as President and Executive Director of several institutions and non-profit organizations: the American Boychoir School, Portsmouth’s Strawberry Banke and New Hampshire Humanities Council and previously acted as Interim Direct0r of the World Affairs Council of New Hampshire.
Dr. Bickford has a PhD in Medieval Literature and a Master of Arts in English Literature from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Franklin and Marshall. He has received many honorary doctorates and awards for his scholarship and service including an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from both Saint Anselm College and Rivier College.
Dr. Bickford lives in Portsmouth with his wife, Barbara, who is a photographer.
