SNHU and WACNH to Host CNN Founder Myron Kandel
Manchester, NH (Sept. 26, 2011) -- Southern New Hampshire University and the World Affairs Council of New Hampshire will host “Think Global” Business Summit featuring the co-founder of CNN, Myron Kandel, and a series highlighting relations between the U.S. and countries such as Turkey and Mexico. The event will take place on Monday, Oct. 17, at SNHU’s Dining Center. Tickets are $25 person and the event begins with a reception at 5:30 p.m. Contact 603.314.7970 for additional information. The event will also be streamed live. Additional information can be found at www.snhu.edu.
"Having the most internationally minded university in the state working in close harmony with the most internationally minded non-profit has produced a wonderful synergy that we are delighted to continue," SNHU President Paul LeBlanc said.
The summit will also feature a panel of New Hampshire business leaders, including several SNHU School of Business graduates, addressing why businesses are going global, despite the recession, and how to do it responsibly. Kandel, now an editor and anchor at CNN Financial News, was named one of the 10 most influential financial journalists of the 20th century.
“Now, more than ever, it’s critical for business to think beyond borders as we did over the years at CNN,” Kandel said. “Not only can it help your bottom line, but you can help our country as well.”
The summit was initiated, in part, through a seed grant from the National Council for International Visitors, which aims to shape U.S. foreign relations “one handshake at a time.”
